Centrally Located Retreat in Provo

Arrived late in the evening and pulled out the sofa bed to find several crumbled chips that we had to shake off the bed. There were also numerous spiders that we had to kill before being able to sleep. Then at around 6:30am we were awakened by screaming children running around and stomping above us. We contacted the host who told us that they would look into it and get back to us. After 2 hours of constant insanely loud noise we ended up leaving as my husband needed a place that he would be able to work and take calls. We contacted vrbo after we left as we were not getting any response from the host. They said that they would contact the host and get back to us. After not hearing back by late afternoon from the host or vrbo we called vrbo again. We were told to go ahead and book another place as they had tried every number they had and an email and had also received no response from the host. They told us that because of the situation we would be able to be reimbursed for up to 600 for our stay. We ended up booking at a hotel close by at 6:15pm. It wasn’t until Wednesday midday that vrbo was finally able to reach the host who said that they would not allow for any reimbursement. Keep in mind that we were there for about 9 hours out of 6 days (5 nights). We are still fighting this issue and would not wish this situation on anyone.

This place was perfect for our stay. The place was beautifully decorated. It was a cozy home away from home. The beds and pillows were comfy also. I would definitely stay here again.

I loved the studio apartment. It was put together very well. Beautiful accomidations. Very comfortable bed. Deep tub and heated bidet. Parking was very hard to find. I also got a 7:30 wake up each morning with little one running about on my ceiling.

We were staying for our daughter's wedding and reception and the location was perfect. We loved the decor and cleanliness of the condo. The amenities were perfect and very comfortable. It was a home away from home and a great place to rest before and after the wedding events. The downsides were parking availability on the street and the early morning wake-ups from the noise upstairs. Parking on the street is ok during the day, but after 10 pm it is almost impossible to find within a 2-block area. As for the noise from upstairs, they advertise on the Vrbo site that they strive for quiet from 8 pm to 8 am, but the noise from upstairs started at 6 am with loud thumps and stomping. We knew from other reviews that there would be a toddler upstairs, but we did not expect it to be as loud nor as early. It made it more difficult to relax in the morning before the wedding and sleep in a little bit the morning after. Noise is not mentioned in the house instructions emailed to us before arriving, only in the Vrbo ad about this property. As such we did not know about the noise machine, but did find the earplugs which only muffled the sound a little bit. As parents we remember these days, but this needs to be advertised so that guests are more prepared for unexpected wake-up calls at 6 am by a stomping toddler. Other than that it was a wonderful place to stay.

Cute and secluded. It was clean and cozy. Very responsive owner. Just something to consider for future guests, it is a basement apartment below a family with small children. Also, you will not have control over the thermostat, so anytime you want to change the temperature, you must tex the owner. Street parking was hard to find and at times we had to walk a couple of blocks, which is not good for an 80-year-old man. Otherwise, it was just what was needed for a place close to the hospital.
